Bad Friday

A packing crate containing an LCD monitor fell from the second floor and landed on my head.  Estimated impact: 470 Joules. 

It hurt.

Went to hospital.  No brain injury.  No broken bones.  Black eye (no idea how that was caused).  Mildest of headaches.  Very sleepy.

Suspect it would have been a lot worse if it had been a CRT monitor.

  3. Ouch! That does sound bad. Maybe you could get a part in one of those TV adverts on daytime television featuring people who have had unfortunate accidents.

  4. Yes, Patrick, I just heard about this.

    It sounds like one of those weird situations which are described as “very lucky”, as in: could have been a hell of a lot worse.  Like: it could have killed you.

    Glad it didn’t, and that you sound like you will make a full recovery quite soon.
