Against gun control

I am against gun control because:
- it involves force
- it doesn't seem to reduce crime. Examples include the UK, Switzerland and Jamaica:
- UK. 1920s - legal guns, low murder rate. 2000s - illegal guns, high murder rate
- Switzerland. High rate of gun ownership, very little crime
- Jamaica. Gun ban overnight in early 1970s. Crime wave overnight.
- I think bans like this turn us into wusses. Hmm, now I something of a wuss myself but I think there are all sorts of benefits in people knowing how to handle dangerous objects. Like personal responsibility for instance.

Questions
- But what about the USA?
- The USA is a violent society with or without guns. A lot of people get stabbed
- Much of the violence is due to the War on Drugs
- Some of the areas with the highest murder rates are those eg New York with the strictest gun laws

If you would like to comment on this article I suggest you make it here rather than attempting to use the Talk/Discussion page. I have recently received a large amount of Wiki spam and the only effective way of preventing it is to prevent the unmoderated creation of new accounts without which the page is uneditable (unless your name is Kieran or Jax).
