Template

It is a shame that it looks nothing like the Croziervision Blog. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a whole load we can do about that. Well, at least, not easily. I find the width of the column a particular problem. If you do too you might find it useful to narrow the window.

Useful Pages

If you want a listing of every single page here it is.

Also check out the "What links here" near the bottom of the sidebar.

If you want to keep up with latest on the Croziervision Wiki check out the Recent Changes page or subscribe to its feed (warning - feed is not the same as the page). I hope that eventually the main page will be the first port of call.

A short note on links

If it looks like this it is to an external site or a permalink.
If it looks like this it is to a CroziervisionWiki page.
If it looks like this it is to a CroziervisionWiki page which hasn't been written yet.

Why do permalinks look the same as external links?

It's a long story and probably a Wiki oversight. Oh well.

Permalinks

Unlike blog postings Wiki pages get changed. So, if you link to a Wiki page because, say, you agree with it, be careful to use the permalink rather than... rather than... er... well, any other link that you may have found.

Contributing

Contributions are welcome but there are rules:

  • if you own the page ie either created it or have had it assigned to you, then you can edit it to your heart's content so long as you don't slander people or breach the copyright law
  • if you don't own the page you cannot edit it but you can add to the Talk/Discussion section

Unfortunately, you can do neither of these things unless you are logged in. Unfortunately (again), because of vandalism I have turned off easy log ins. You'll have to contact me via the blog (I'm afraid) and I'll give you a log in (assuming you are a suitable person). (Hmm, thinks, that should deter about 99% of my potential contributors.)

Probably, the best way to comment on a page is to add a comment to any blog posting that mentions the Wiki. Your comment will get to me.

Editing

For a crash course on editing see MediaWiki's User's Guide or the FAQ or, perhaps, better still look at the source ie click on "edit" to see how others have done it

Comments

I like comments. Usually. Unfortunately, due to the spate of vandalism mentioned above I've turned off the ability for users to create their own accounts. So, for the time being the best place to place a comment will be at this blog posting. A bit Heath Robinson, I know, but there you go.

Work in Progress

A number of pages are marked (right at the top) as "Work in Progress". Strictly speaking all pages are works in progress as no page is ever quite finished and may be changed at any time to accommodate new ideas, new facts and new wording. The Work in Progress marker is simply to indicate that the author is far from happy with the page as it currently stands.
