No to disabled rights on the railway
From CroziervisionWiki
It is certainly very trendy to complain about the lack of disabled access on the railway (here is an example) but I think it's no business of the government to act.
Disabled access costs money - if it didn't companies would be doing it already. That makes railways less profitable. That means higher subsidy. That means higher taxes. That makes us all poorer. Or it may mean fewer services or closed lines.
Disabled access makes trains uglier, for instance by insisting that sliding doors are painted a different colour from the rest of the train.
Disabled access slows down the railway. I have seen this in person as a train was delayed by a good 5 minutes as they ran about trying to find a ramp - all the time with the disabled gentleman calling them a "bunch of f**king useless c***ts." Tosser.
If people want to help the disabled they should either give them lifts or give to charity.
